Children in foster care

Through thoughtfully designed programs like JOY’s Caring Crew and events like HoliJOY, we empower foster youth with meaningful experiences that not only enrich their own lives, but also give them the opportunity to give back, making a lasting difference in their communities and within themselves.

Homeless Persons

Through programs like Furnishing JOY and JOY’s Caring Crew, we support individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity with both practical resources and meaningful connection. From delivering essential furnishings to those transitioning into permanent housing to creating care packages and meals through youth-led service, we bring comfort, stability, and JOY to those who need it most. One home, one heart, one act of kindness at a time.

Domestic violence victims

Through compassionate programs like Furnishing JOY, strategic partnerships with local shelters, and Empowering JOY, our workshop-style event designed to transform lives, we support survivors of domestic violence by helping them rebuild with dignity. We strive to restore hope, foster independence, and help survivors rediscover their sense of self.

Animals in shelter

Through partnerships with local shelters, supporting local nonprofits and programs like JOY’s Caring Crew, we support animals in shelters. Whether it’s kids crafting toys for shelter pets, our mascot JOY making appearances at adoption events, or sponsoring safe spaces like the bunny pen at Bunnies Matter Rescue, we bring compassion, visibility, and JOY to the animals who need it most, while inspiring the next generation to care for them too.

    Our Signature Programs

A unique and very special event where youth without a positive male role model in their life will once again be paired with men in the community for a day of learning, mentorship, and FUN! Activities focus on “parenting gaps”, or life lessons and skills these youth may never learn otherwise. In the end, the experience proves just as impactful for the Men-tors who give their time as the kids who receive that time.

Now in its second year, Empowering JOY unites professionals and nonprofit leaders to uplift and equip female survivors of domestic violence and foster youth transitioning to independence. Through four key areas of empowerment, this event provides essential resources, mentorship, and support, helping participants build confidence, resilience, and a path toward a brighter future.

Now in its fourth year, HoliJOY is expanding to bring holiday magic to even more children in need. Last year, 364 youth experienced the JOY of this special event as we welcomed not only foster youth but also those from families facing domestic violence or housing insecurity—ensuring every child feels the warmth, wonder, and JOY of the season. This unique event lets kids experience the magic of GIVING.

      July 26th / Share in the JOY is co-hosting our 2nd annual Back to School Night on July 26th at Heritage Park Senior Center in Henderson. Look for registration details in Henderson Happenings. Registration includes a free backpack filled with school supplies!
    
      September 13th / Share in the JOY is co-hosting the 2nd annual Lotzafun End of Summer event with Lion’s Clubs of Las Vegas District 46. This is a private event for children in care and families in need. For registration information please reach out!
    
      October 11th / Empowering JOY *Signature Event* Share in the JOY is hosting our 4th annual HoliJOY event. This is a private event for children in care and families in need. For registration information or to volunteer please reach out!
    
      December 14th / HoliJOY *Signature Event* Share in the JOY Hosting the 2nd annual Empowering JOY event. This is a private event for victims of domestic violence and their older children. For registration information or to volunteer please reach out!
    
      Ongoing / Kid’s Night is held the 2nd Tuesday every month at Texas Roadhouse BBQ in Henderson, 1421 W. Sunset Rd, Henderson. Share in the JOY partners with the team at Texas Roadhouse, who offers free meals for 30+ kids in foster care every month! Come see JOY and enjoy some popcorn, face painting, and cotton candy as you support Texas Roadhouse in supporting kids in care!
